Addie's Happy Birthday!

Addie's Happy Birthday! These are words we've heard around our house for about a month now, and it's even been a week and she's still singing happy birthday to herself! She is now 2! Her birthday was on Monday, the 10 which happened to be the day of my Grandpa Johnson's funeral. So....since she's 2 and has no idea we had her birthday be on Sunday. We had family over for cake and ice cream and a little bubbles party. She is obsessed with bubbles, blowing them, popping them, taking bubble baths....whatever it doesn't matter as long as there are bubbles!
We love our Addie so much, she's pretty different than Ellie. She is much more strong-willed, and determined. Once she has her mind on something, it's really hard to convince her otherwise. She's very thoughtful of others. Everytime she gets something for herself, she makes sure Ellie has one as well. Even singing songs to her at night, if we sing her name in the song, we have to sing Ellie's and Kenna's also. It's pretty cute. She's pretty defiant right now, and I don't know if that's because of a new little sister or because she's 2. Either way, she sure knows how to turn on the charm if she needs to! She's really good at bringing laughs and giggles to our home, and we sure love her! Happy birthday Addilyn!

After lots of thought on how to do a bubble cake, this is what turned out. I loved her face when she saw it. She was just in awe, and kept saying 'Addie's happy birthday cake'!

Can we say spoiled? We had Grandma & Grandpa Johnson, the whole Matheson family including Marcia and her kids, and Uncle Jeremy here to celebrate! Jeremy made Addie a cute bubble birthday sign that turned out so cute. She had been busy jumping on the tramp it was hard to pull her away to open presents. From cute princess sticker books from Jeremy & Erin to a bubble lawn mower from Grandma & Grandpa she got lots of fun things!
